DUTIES:

They should be used to meeting demanding deadlines. The selected candidate should also have good IT skills.

We seek qualified candidates for the position of Senior Technical Advisor, Quality Management and Sustainability based in Abuja, Nigeria.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Technical Advisor, Quality Management and Sustainability will provide technical leadership in Quality Management and ensuring sustainability for all FHI Projects in Nigeria.  Key Responsibilities include: Provide technical leadership in design, development, planning, implementation, and capacity-building of Quality Management component of all FHI/Nigeria projects; Contribute to overall technical direction and leadership for technical activities at all levels; Lead technical input into resource development activities; Perform other related duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
BS/BA in public health or related field, and 11-13 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS or family planning with international development programs; Or MS/MA/MPH in public health or related field, and 9 - 11 years relevant experience in  HIV/AIDS or family planning with international development programs; Or PhD, MD or similar degree with 7 - 9 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS or family planning with international development programs.  Overseas field experience required.  In addition, has positive international reputation in HIV/AIDS or family planning (as judged by external letters of reference).  Must have at least 10 professional publications in respected journals or other fora.

Manage, Provide and support transmission engineers.
Provide engineering services to support new and installed transmissions systems base

JOB TITLE: TEAM LEAD IP PLANNING ACCESS
DEPARTMENT: NETWORK GROUP
LOCATION: LAGOS

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Oversee the plan and design data access nodes, sites and links within the national and metropolitan access networks to cater for new developments in the organization’s business plan.
Map out requirement and develop solutions for convergence of diverse Customer Edge communications services onto consolidated backhaul (last mile) links for connectivity between the Customer Edge (CE) and the MPLS Provider Edge (PE).
Interface with metro transmission personnel, key user groups and other necessary stakeholders to define and implement best fit access methodologies for transport and delivery of customer data access services in line with business drive e.g. Direct Connect, VPN & dedicated data bandwidth resale.
Produce and evolve IP addressing, naming and numbering formats as well as quality of service parameters for the Customer Edge LANs and all other data access networks, nodes and elements.
Oversee production and integration of IP routing solutions for extension of network management capability to Microwave Transmission sites in the metro & national TX backbone networks.
Plan and implement WAN Access SLAs, quality and class of service requirements in alignment with the capabilities of the network and strive to ensure achievement of customer satisfaction on the total connectivity/transport solution.
Conduct weekly & monthly network performance monitoring, trend analyses, capacity planning and expansion/optimization in line with traffic growth and customer demands and compile trend reports on capacity demand, utilization and availability for forecasting and proactive planning.
Plan, schedule and conduct site visits and surveys for accurate and effective design, dimensioning and integration of new CEs, data access links and metropolitan access triangulation.

Ensure accurate alignment of integration plans with customer request and key success factors via approval of Customer Requirement Documents (CRD)

JOB CONDITIONS: General MTNN working conditions Extra working hours may be required

REPORTING TO: National IP Planning Manager

REQUIRED SKILLS:  
At least 4 years experience in a telecoms systems integration preferably in a mobile service provider environment
Sound understanding of access and metro transmission technologies, e.g. LRE, XDSL, PDH, SDH & DWDM
Sound working knowledge of IP/MPLS technology is essential.
Networking protocols such as ISDN, XDSL, X.25, Frame Relay & ATM
Voice Networking standards H.232, SIP, ETSI/ANSI, VOIP, and C7 (SS7).
Advanced Routing mechanisms & protocols (Exterior and Interior Gateway, IS-IS, etc).
Quality of Service mechanisms design & deployment techniques

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Permanent

QUALIFICATION: Bachelors degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering
