CIVIL/STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS
JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES
Performing engineering duties in planning, designing of infrastructure facilities, such as roads, bridges, harbours, channels, etc
OTHER TYPICAL FUNCTION AND ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
Responsible for designing, constructing, maintaining structures that are safe and up to code
Programming, Monitoring and Reporting works
Works progress reporting
Constructing resources planning and ordering
Executing of works comprising mainly of earthworks, concreting, and asphalting sometimes wet swamp
Materials quantity control and variance check
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
HND or BSC, MSC in civil engineering with practical experience in civil engineering designs and construction with minimum of 4 years post NYSC experience
Working knowledge of surveying will be an added advantage
Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings, architectural drafting and design and develop finer accordance with the set guidelines
Must be familiar with AUTOCAD, knowledge of other civil engineering software would be an added advantage
Professional qualification is an added advantage
Proficiency in any civil/structural Engineering designs software is an added advantage
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft packages, internet etc
LOCATION: PORT-HARCOURT
SALARY: very attractive, though negotiable
